Directions
From Dartmouth College, go down West Wheelock Street, cross the bridge and take a right. Follow the river, then take a left at Goodrich 4 Corners Road. Go to the crest of the hill and you'll see our driveway.
By Plane or Train
The Dartmouth Guest House is in the Town of Norwich, Vermont, just a few miles north of the intersection of highways I-89 and I-91.
Traveling by air, you can fly directly into Lebanon, New Hampshire from Boston or NY City. If you choose, you can also fly into Manchester, New Hampshire’s airport.
Amtrak’s “Vermonter” is a direct train to and from Washington, DC, with stops in Wilmington, Philadelphia, Newark,New York, Stamford, New Haven, Springfield, Amherst, and Brattleboro before finally reaching White River Junction. The station is only 7 miles from us.

By Car
To Ledyard Bridge
These first sets of directions will get you to River Road on the Vermont side of Ledyard Bridge. The final directions will take you from the Vermont side of the bridge (River Road) to the Dartmouth Guest House.
From Hanover.
Proceed south on Wheelock Street from the corner of Main Street and the green. The Norwich Inn faces Wheelock. Go down the hill and cross over the Connecticut River on the Ledyard bridge. Take a right on River Road as soon as you get over the bridge.
From the South on I-89.
As you pass Exit 20 for West Lebanon, NH, move to the right-hand lane in preparation for your exit. Once you cross the Connecticut River you will take the first Vermont exit to I-91 North. Move to the center or left lane as soon as you get on I-91. Otherwise, you will find yourself on an exit ramp. Follow I-91 north. Take Hanover/Norwich Exit 13. Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp. Move to the left lane. At the bottom of the hill, take a left at the stop light onto River Road. Do not cross the Ledyard Bridge.
From the North on I-91.
Take Exit 13. At the bottom of the exit ramp take a left. Stay in the left lane. At the bottom of the hill, take a left at the stop light onto River Road. Do not cross the Ledyard Bridge.
From Ledyard Bridge
Proceed north on River Road. About one mile down, keep to the right as River Road merges with Route 5. Follow Route 5 north. Take the second left on Goodrich 4 Corners Road. The Dartmouth Guest House is one mile up the road on the right. The bottom of our driveway is marked by two road signs. One says “35 MPH”, the other cautions “Pavement Ends”.
Please drive up the driveway and park facing the main house. Welcome to the Dartmouth Guest House.
These first sets of directions will get you to River Road on the Vermont side of Ledyard Bridge. The final directions will take you from the Vermont side of the bridge (River Road) to the Dartmouth Guest House.
From Hanover.
